From May 2001 through October 2023, Poteau Panel Shop, Inc. (PPSI) manufactured custom UL508A industrial control panels used in a variety of applications including commercial building HVAC control, security monitoring, lighting control, motor control, and process control, for customers nationwide. As of October 2023, PPSI no longer manufactures custom control panels.

PPSI was also the manufacturing location for Versa-Cab ^TM, a UL Listed Type 1 enclosure of extruded aluminum frame construction with removable front and back panels. (Versa-Cab is a direct replacement for the Johnson Controls M8100 cabinet, view information here). .

PPSI formed as an independent company in May 2001 utilizing the best workers out of a highly skilled workforce who were impacted by the closing of the Johnson Controls Panel Facility in Poteau, Oklahoma, which had been moved to Reynosa, Mexico. PPSI remained a union panel shop, and became a certified UL 508A Panel Shop, under UL’s Industrial Control Panel (ICP) Custom Builder Program. In October 2023 PPSI ended all manufacturing operations.
